Our Astronomers

We take pride in the caliber of our professional team. Our lecturers are known in the astronomical community for their academic excellence and public service.

Bamm Gabriana

A mathematician at heart, Bamm is interested in astronomical calculations, especially predicting the circumstances of sky phenomena. The only Filipino member of the IMO likes studying the radiant drifts of meteor showers.

Rochelle Derilo

Roch is an active observer of astronomical events such as eclipses, occultations, and transient lunar phenomena. She likes gazing at the lunar surface and enjoys hunting for the moon's thinnest crescent.

Analyn Domingo

Eyna's cheerful and energetic aura is very contagious. She loves organizing science camps and kiddie clubs. She may be busy being a doting teacher to her pre-school pupils, but she never misses observing a meteor shower!

Lynelle Espina

A young and talented writer, Lyne loves teaching kids and writing for them. This science enthusiast is more than happy to share the sky objects she enjoys observing using small telescopes and binoculars.

Allen Yu

Allen is the team's main consultant when it comes to instrumentation — he has already created half a dozen homemade telescopes. A licensed meteorite dealer, he is the expert when it comes to identifying which are the real rocks from space.

Myo Abello

Myo likes traveling to the nearest dark place to visually enjoy deep sky objects. Recently, she has decided to record these heavenly gems by sketching them so she can share it to others as well.

George Toribio

George is both a programmer and an artist. His creativity brought the visually appealing design of this website. A planetary observer, he recently ventured into astrophotography, where his favorite subjects are the moon, Saturn, and Jupiter.

Glenn Victorino

A biology teacher at daytime, and an astronomy graduate student at night, Glenn is interested in astrobiology. His research includes laboratory experiments and theoretical probabilities of finding life outside of Earth.
